2022 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED BETWEEN

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH AND SATURDAY, APRIL 2ND

Nominate a local community volunteer, and help them get the recognition they deserve!  Nominate in any of our 3 categories:

• LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT CATEGORY – This award honours a dedicated resident of Maple Ridge who has a lifetime of providing outstanding volunteer contributions locally, nationally and/or internationally, which has enhanced the quality of life in Maple Ridge or enhanced the image of Maple Ridge in the larger community. Those contributions can be broad based and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, may be in the areas of art, culture, athletics, social service groups or service clubs.

• TEESHA SHARMA MEMORIAL UNDER 40 CATEGORY – This award recognizes a young adult who is at least 20 years of age and not more than 40 years old, who has made outstanding volunteer contributions locally, nationally and/or internationally, which has enhanced the quality of life in Maple Ridge or enhanced the image of Maple Ridge in the larger community. Those contributions can be broad based and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, may be in the areas of art, culture, athletics, social service groups or service clubs.

• YOUTH CATEGORY – this award recognizes a youth 19 years of age or younger, who has made outstanding volunteer contributions locally, nationally and/or internationally, which has enhanced the quality of life in Maple Ridge or enhanced the image of Maple Ridge in the larger community. Those contributions can be broad based and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, may be in the areas of art, culture, athletics, social service groups or service clubs.

To qualify for all of our COY categories, the nominee must:

• Be a resident of Maple Ridge
• Consent to the nomination
