How long have you called Maple Ridge home?
55 years. I came here from Australia, though I’m originally from Britain.
What inspires you to give?
It goes back to my time in Scouts/Guides. The promise made when you first join says: “To do my best, to do my duty to God and the Queen, to help other people at all times, and to obey the scout/guide laws”. I have been involved with guides and scouts since 1942.
What do you enjoy about living here?
Maple Ridge is a wonderful community. It’s small enough to get to know many people, and there are so many great groups to be a part of. I’ve always loved it here.
Do you have a favourite local hangout?
I love the ACT!
How do you keep yourself happy and healthy?
I sing with the Maple Ridge Choral Society and the Silvertones. I spend time with family, my grandchildren.
